Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the booster club. Parents and siblings are welcome to sign up to help with a single event or choose an area where your gifts and talents are needed. Questions? Contact the booster club officers for more information or click on Volunteer Now for more details.
Brittany Tuck Tournament
Brittany Tuck was a star fast-pitch softball pitcher at Lake Travis, who lost her life in a tragic car accident after earning player of the year and a scholarship to Sam Houston State in 2000. Her dad, Keith Tuck, former softball coach at Dripping Springs, created the tournament in honor of his daughter. Each year LT and Dripping Springs hosts the tournament for area schools and proceeds benefit the Brittany Tuck Scholarship. Players are eligible for the scholarship if they have attended Lake Travis High School for at least 2 years, lettered at least 2 years in a varsity sport, and completed a second sport at any high school level. Volunteer to help host the LT field games, including planning concessions and managing the coaches hospitality suite.
Concessions Committee
The concession stand opens during the Spring season for each JV and Varsity home game. Volunteers will be part of the committee that will plan and organize inventory, track sales, and manage the concession shift schedule. Volunteering with concessions is a great way to meet other softball families, get to know the players, and be involved in the behind the scenes action at the field.
Team Events
Team events throughout the year build camaraderie among the players and help to integrate new players into the team. The LT Softball Booster organizes a fall team outing, team dinners during Spring season, and an end of the year celebration. Volunteer teams are needed for each event to plan and organize logistics, vendors, invitations, and food & beverage. This is a great opportunity for those who like to host and plan events.
Field Maintenance Day
In addition to the players’ field care responsibilities, we need extra help to prep the softball field facilities for the season. This will include all areas inside the softball field gates. Players and siblings welcome!
Photography/Videography
Do you enjoy photography and media? LT Booster Club needs your talents an interest to capture the important moments on and off the field. Novices welcome!
Social Media
Are you a social media guru? We need your help to manage the social media channels for the team, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram throughout the year, communicating upcoming games, important news, and work closely with the photographer/videographer to capture and showcase the important moments and information about the team.
